The Alumni Meet convened at the Jaypee University of Information Technology on December 9th, organized by the JUIT Alumni Cell. It was met with enthusiasm as approximately 50 alumni, accompanied by their families, attended the event. Among the distinguished guests were Ankit Aggarwal, Founder & CEO of Unstop, and Suhail Sharma, an IPS officer. The proceedings unfolded in two distinct segments,
commencing with a ceremonial lamp lighting by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.)
Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Registrar Major General Rakesh Bassi (Retd.), Dean of
Academics Prof. Dr. Ashok Kumar Gupta and Dr. Saurabh Bansal.
The initial phase of the event featured insightful speeches from the
Vice-Chancellor and Registrar of the University, setting the tone for an
engaging interaction between the alumni and the university's faculty and staff. The alumni received tokens of appreciation in the form of mementoes and JUIT T-shirts, and Dr Tanu Sharma skillfully hosted the entire session; following this, a lavish lunch was served, fostering a relaxed atmosphere conducive to networking and recalling shared experiences. As the day progressed, an entertaining cultural and DJ night, masterminded by the JYC team, unfolded in the evening, creating an ambience of joy and reflection.
The alumni also revisited their hostels and cherished locations on
campus, evoking a sense of nostalgia. This reunion not only facilitated
connections between past and present members of the JUIT family but also
allowed alumni to witness the growth and evolution of their alma mater. The seamless coordination by the JUIT alumni Cell team and faculty coordinators Dr Saurabh Bansal, Dr Tanu Sharma, Dr Nishant Jain and Dr Surjit Kumar Hazra ensured the event's smooth execution, making it a memorable gathering for all participants. The Alumni Meet underscored the enduring bonds within the
university and the collective pride shared by the JUIT community.
