Barbara Zitova received the M.Sc. degree in computer science from the Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic in 1995 and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic in 2000. Since 1995 she has been with the Institute of Information Theory and Automation, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Prague. She was appointed the head of the department on the 1st January 2008. She gives tutorials on Image Processing and Pattern Recognition at the Czech Technical University. Jointly with J. Flusser she gives specialized graduate course on moment invariants and wavelets at the Charles University and at the Czech Technical University. |
Prof. Dr. D. K. Dhawan, Ph.D. |

Prof. D. K. Dhawan is presently working as a Professor in the department of Biophysics and has previously worked as chairman department of Biophysics, Coordinator, Centre for Nuclear Medicine as well as Coordinator, Centre for Medical Physics at Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. Professor Dhawan did his Ph.D. from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, India in the year 1984. Prior to his Ph.D., he worked in Radiation Medicine Centre of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai, India, and was awarded Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Radioisotopes Techniques. His research areas are radiation medicine and cancer. He has published 207 research articles and 164 are listed in Scopus during 33 years of his research career. Prof. Dhawan has supervised 40 Ph.D. and 47 Master’s theses of students. He has completed 18 research projects funded by various scientific organizations. Recently, his research entitled” A radioactive trimer complex for the detection of tumors” was granted Patent by Government of India. Prof. Dhawan is a Fellow of Union for International Cancer Control, Indian College of Nuclear Medicine and Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists. For his contribution in science, he was given Oration award by Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists at its 38th Annual conference held at Chennai, India.

Prof. Dr. Aparajita Ojha, Ph.D. |

Prof. Aparajita Ojha is a professor of Computer Science and Engineering at PDPM Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur since 2005, where she has also served as the Director of the Institute from Feb. 2009- Feb. 2015. With over 35 years of teaching and research experience, she has published over sixty research papers in various fields of mathematics and engineering including digital watermarking, video stabilization, machine learning, geometric modeling, path planning, finite element method, constructive approximation, and software maintainability. She is presently working on two important projects to provide AI-based solutions for precision agriculture and industry 4.0. Prof. Ojha has delivered keynote lectures in various national and international conferences including her presidential address at the101st Indian Science Congress for the section ‘Information Science and Technology including Computer Science’. Prof. Ojha was awarded with Devang Mehta Business School Award for her outstanding contribution in education in the years 2013 and 2016. She is presently involved as the Chief Coordinator of Electronics and ICT Academy instituted by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to train college teachers and researchers on emerging areas of information technology and electronics. She is on the Board of Directors of three power companies and she is also a member of the Senate of IIIT Nagpur and the Board of Governors of IIITDM Kurnool.

Dr. Badri Narayan Subudhi, Ph.D.

Dr. Badri Narayan Subudhi received M.Tech. in Electronics and System Communication from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India, in 2008-09. He worked for his PhD from Machine Intelligence Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India in year 2014 (degree from Jadavpur University). Currently he is serving as an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Technology Jammu, India. Prior to this he was working as an Assistant Professor at NIT Goa from July 2014 to March 2017. He received CSIR senior research fellowship for the year 2011-2015. He was nominated as the Young Scientist Awardees by Indian Science Congress Association for the year 2012-2013. He was awarded with Young Scientist Travel grant award from DST, Government of India and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India in the year 2011. He is the receiptant of Bose-Ramagnosi Award for the year 2010 from DST, Government of India under India-Trento Programme for Advanced Research (ITPAR). He was a visiting scientist at University of Trento, Italy during Aug. 2010 to Feb 2011. His research interests include Video Processing, Image Processing, Medical Image Processing, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, and Remote Sensing Image Analysis. He has published 35 research papers in reputed journals and conferences.
