| Outcome of Program | 1.Students and staff realized importance of Free Open Source available. 2.Open source lab CL-9 is developed with Mint 17.1 and ready with open sources like Latex , Java, C and C++ etc. |
Brief Summary about Activity: Inaugural function of Open Source Lab was organized under the guidance of Prof Dr. S.P. Ghrera ( Head Dept. of CSE & IT). All faculty staff from department of computer science and Department of information technology was present including our technical staff from CSE Department. Prof. Ghrera inaugurated the FOSS lab and presented ppt presentation which was sent by her. Ms. Anita Kedare (Training Coordinator - Himachal Pradesh Spoken Tutorial Project-IIT Bombay) shared useful information related to FOSS(Free Open Source Software) and encouraged to use it, through her ppts. Prof. Ghrera also gave brief introduction and achievement of computer science department in collaboration with Spoken Tutorial Project by IIT Bombay in last few sessions.
