Distinguished Speaker Seminar Series JUIT Student Chapter has organized an initiative known as the Distinguished Speaker Seminar Series. Under this series, renowned and eminent speakers join from academic and professional world, to share their wisdom and experience, so as to enhance the exposure and understanding of both the industry and academia.

The speaker for the seminar was Dr. Mark S. Squillante, Distinguished Research Staff Member and Manager of Foundations of Probability, Dynamics and Control at IBM Research, for the agenda “Decision making under Uncertainty”. The seminar concluded with a Q&A session with the attendees, where both the faculty and the students asked their queries and discussed a few interesting applications of the discipline.

The speaker for the seminar was Dr. Bonita V. Saunders, Leader, Mathematical Software Group Applied and Computational Mathematics Division (ACMD), Information Technology Laboratory, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), US Department of Commerce and shared her insights on the ongoing research in computational and applied mathematics at the NIST. The SIAM organization conducted the fall new student chapters virtual meet-up for the newly established chapters around the globe, attended by Durham University, England, VIT, Bhopal and our team. The meeting was chaired by Susanne C. Brenner, President SIAM, Kathleen Kavanagh, Vice President for Education and Maggie Hohendal, SIAM coordinator for student chapters.

Seventh International Conference on Parallel, Distributed and Grid Computing (PDGC) 25th - 27th November, 2022
The 7th IEEE PDGC-2022 was organized during 25-27 November 2022 by the CSE & IT Department at JUIT Solan, HP, India. The conference witnessed 147 participants, 136 paper presenters and 11 attendees, and faculty, lab staff and students of the CSE & IT Department of JUIT. Three international keynote speakers and two national keynote speakers graced the conference with their expertise. More than 100 TPC members contributed to make the conference a success.
