The Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Technologies for Rural Development, Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics along with Department of Civil Engineering of Jaypee University of Information Technology developed this movable biogas reactor. Prof. Sudhir Kumar explained that this as one of its kind and its movability helps its utility in different places depending upon need. This is particularly suitable for various biology and chemistry laboratories as source of small scale heating as replacement of LPG based burners. This biogas reactor used left over food as substrate and a way forward towards sustainability through generation of renewable energy. The inventors thanked Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Rajendra Kumar Sharma for extending all possible support to develop this reactor.
