Dr. Sugandha Singh is from Haldwani, Uttarakhand. She has finished B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology. After graduation, She worked as a Project Engineer/Coordinator at Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd. in Mumbai, India. She is graduated with an M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environment Engineering at North Carolina State University with a specialization in Structural Engineering. Her research work focused on studying the effects of High-Frequency Ground Motion on important structures such as Nuclear Power Plants. Her Ph.D. dissertation is titled "Factors Affecting the Seismic Response of Safety-Related Electrical Equipment in Nuclear Power Plants Subjected to High-Frequency Ground Motions." This research has far-reaching applications in addition to safety assessments of non-structural components of Nuclear Power Plants.
