Bioinformatics emerged in early 1970s which was the amalgamation of the Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, and several principles from various other areas.Bioinformatics is the interdisciplinary field of science that uses the associated fields to analyze and interpret biological data. The high usage of information technology in the field of biology increased the career prospects in this field. Use of bioinformatics tools in life sciences has become necessary to analyze experimental data since omics have emerged in this field. The large amount of data is a challenge for the biological and biomedical community. Biomedical signal and image processing is the utmost requirement in current healthcare sectors. With the increase in several lifestyle disease health care is on priority to facilitate human beings through technological interventions. It is anticipated that this workshop will help the biologists, biotechnologists, biomedical scientists and students from all these streams to gain insight into biological and biomedical data analyses. It will also help engineers, mathematicians, statisticians, and computer scientists to explore new dimensions for their academic and research activities.
The objectives of the workshop are:
Bioinformatics is all about converting biological data into meaningful information. Broadly it covers
Bioinformatics is the application of computational techniques to solve problems in biology. In this workshop, we tend to focus on bioinformatics and health sciences.
